We modify our menu with the changing seasons to give you the best flavors Napa Valley has to offer. Executive Chef Scott Kendall works to create original dishes that our guests would not anticipate. Their most enjoyed plates include the
ostrich burger with cherry coriander compote, creamy brie and truffle fries or the housemade burrata which is mozzarella heaven topped with cabernet sea salt, heirloom tomato, bacon jam and served with grilled bread. The chefs also keep things fresh with the soup of the moment and
chef’s selection of tacos updated weekly with seasonal ingredients. Guests are invited to personalize the dishes "Carpe style" by adding an organic poached duck egg and crispy pancetta to any plate.
Wines and beers are expressly selected to compliment the food, enhancing the culinary experience at Carpe Diem. Our team is constantly searching for new wines and beers that will pleasantly surprise both locals and visiting guests. Some of our unique wines include Outcast, Rosalynd, and Keever. Our extensive wine list with over forty wines by the glass entices our guests to sample something new and discover the perfect pairing with their meal.
Carpe Diem Brewing Co. is excited to share their own beers exclusively at the restaurant. They will be featured on the eight constantly rotating tap handles alongside other local craft brews. Special meal pairing events are held regularly featuring both established and emerging wine makers and brewers, bringing Carpe Diem’s passion for pairings alive. Scott Kendall - Owner
Although born and raised in Sonoma County, Scott Kendall attended San Diego State University. Growing up in a culinary family, Scott always knew he belonged in the kitchen. He gained experience from working restaurants since age fourteen and learning from his mother, a culinary arts teacher. To further his knowledge of the restaurant industry, he majored in business management in college.
After graduating and traveling for a year, he moved back to his hometown and conceptualized the details and design for opening a restaurant. Scott is now living out his dream and "Seizing the Day" as owner and executive chef of Carpe Diem Wine Bar. When he isn't in the kitchen, Chef Scott is now brewing his own beers in the restaurant.
